When cops Schmidt and Jenko decide to go undercover at a nearby college, their lives are about to take a dramatic turn for the better, despite the fact that they have already navigated their way through high school twice. They start to have doubts about their partnership, though, after Jenko discovers a kindred spirit on the football team and Schmidt integrates himself into the bohemian art major environment. Now, in addition to solving the mystery, they need to determine whether or not they are capable of having a healthy romantic connection. College may turn out to be the finest thing that's ever happened to these two adults who are still acting like adolescents. If they can make the transition from being actual men to being freshman, then college may be their best opportunity.
