Jinhee, a young girl, is taken to an orphanage near Seoul by her father. He abandons her, never to return, and she struggles to accept her fate. Jinhee is convinced that her father will return for her and take her on a trip. The film is based on the director's experiences as an ethnic Korean who was adopted by a French couple in the 1970s.
