Ling Choi Sin, a government official, goes to the dry Black Mountain Village to help its people get water. There are many demons and a pretty girl named Siu Sin who follow him on his journey up the mountain. Before long, Yan Chek Ha is in love with Siu Sin and wants to marry her as well. Yan Chek Ha, a demon-hunter, is in a deadly triangle with Siu Sin, who Yan Chek Ha wants to marry. Before the two men can work things out, they have to deal with the evil Tree Demon and a one-armed demon hunter who wants to kill all the supernatural creatures.
