Alice in the Cities

Writer's block has hit Philip Winter when he attempts to write about the United States. A German mother and her nine-year-old daughter are also trying to book a flight to Germany when he chooses to return. Despite the fact that Alice's mother asked Winter to look after her daughter for a short period of time, it soon becomes clear that Alice will be Winter's full-time responsibility. When Alice returns to Europe, she and Winter form an innocent friendship while searching for Alice's grandmother in several European towns.
