A veteran mariner awakens during a solo cruise in the Indian Ocean to discover his vessel taking on water after colliding with a stray shipping container. With his radio and navigation equipment damaged, he sails inadvertently into a fierce storm and almost escapes with his life. The sailor hopes that the ocean currents would move him into a shipping lane, but with supplies running low and sharks surrounding, he is forced to face his own mortality.
