11-year-old Lisa is too busy caring for her siblings and cooking for her mother to play with toys. Lisa travels to Toyland in a Wizard of Oz-like scenario during the Christmas Eve blizzard and arrives just in time for a wedding. Despite her feelings for Jack Be Nimble, young Mary Contrary is about to marry cruel, old Barnaby Barnacle. Lisa attempts to avert this heinous wedding and discovers, along with her new pals, that Barnaby wishes to take over Toyland. Lisa, Mary, Jack, and Georgie Porgie seek assistance from the Toymaster, but he is powerless to do so as long as Lisa does not fully believe in toys.
