Beyond the Wasteland
Beyond the Wasteland is an international fan documentary filmed all over the world, including Australia, the United States, Italy, France, Germany, and Japan. The fans, their costumes, and their machines take us into the Mad Max universe, where we witness these out-of-the-ordinary individuals trying to find their place in the fandom. Bertrand Cadart, an original cast member, is also featured as he makes his final journey from the Sunshine Coast to the "Wasteland," the desert setting of Mad Max 2 in Silverton, while battling stage IV leukemia. As much as it celebrates life, Beyond the Wasteland also praises the power of conviction to alter one's outlook.
