In Cameron, a gang of hunters is attacked by a wild beast; Charlie Cowley survives, but witnesses the death of his brother Scott. Seven years later, his adolescent nephew Derek Cowley steals the key to his stepfather's remote cabin on Fire Road 13 and journeys there with four classmates and his best friend Sam for a weekend of sex and alcohol. However, they are attacked by a Beast that murders his companions in a cruel manner. Sam and Derek survive, and they assume that Mitchell Toblat, Sam's stepfather, is a werewolf. When Charlie meets Derek and Sam, they intend to collect proof that Mitchell is the Beast and kill him, but Mitchell finds their plan and pursues them.
