The twenty-year-old drag racer Danny Krueger follows his own set of rules when it comes to competition. As a result of receiving a scholarship to the elite Fast Lane Racing Academy, Danny finds himself fighting against some of the world's most talented and determined young racers. When a tragic occurrence occurs, Danny finds himself alone on the track, which adds to his sense of helplessness. Danny is compelled to form a partnership with an old foe in order to avoid being dismissed from the academy. As they compete for rookie positions on a professional racing team, the pair will have to learn to put their differences aside.
