During the late 1890s, Butch Cassidy leads the outlaw Hole in the Wall Gang in Wyoming. 'The Sundance Kid' is his best friend and the only one who understands what he's going through. Law enforcement in the West catches up with Butch, Sundance, and the rest of their gang as civilization advances. A special posse is relentlessly pursuing the two, so they decide to flee to South America in the hopes of escaping their captors for ever.
