As a child, Jing (Kwai Lun-Mei) was paralyzed from the waist down, and she now works as a piano teacher. She accuses her doctor Zhou (Chang Chen) of abusing her during a routine medical examination one day. Charged and placed on trial: Zhou is quickly apprehended and put on trial. "Tim," an idealistic lawyer who joined law school to punish those guilty of wrongdoing, is Tim's prosecutor. But while Tim's investigator Nam (Liu Kai Chi) helps him unravel the case, it gets increasingly difficult to piece together the facts. Tim begins to question the veracity of Jing's story as time goes on.
