Richard Gaddis, in need of a new accomplice capable of complicated con jobs, engages Rodrigo, a thief with an impeccable poker face. The two conspire to defraud currency collector William Hannigan by selling a forged Silver Certificate. Rodrigo is suspicious of his new associate, but he requires money to assist his ailing father. The scenario becomes more difficult when Rodrigo develops feelings for Gaddis' sister, Valerie, thereby introducing another person into the fray.
