Dalecarlians
Mia travels all the way from Stockholm to her parents' house in a rural area of Dalecarlia (Dalarna) so that the family can celebrate her father's seventieth birthday. Her older sisters Eivor and Gunilla are happy to have her around, but the differences in their lifestyles prevent them from truly connecting with one another. The tension rises, and the party—which is supposed to be a time of celebration—instead becomes a defining moment for the family and their circle of acquaintances.
