17-year-old Lucy, who has been painfully isolated from her peers for years, has refused to let anyone near her house in order to hide a family secret. This secret involves the overwhelming mountain of items that are filled in every crevice of space in her home. Lucy has refused to let anyone near her house. While keeping an eye on her mother Joanna's hoarding disorder, she carefully plots her escape to college in the background. In appearance, Joanna is a highly functional nurse; nonetheless, she maintains the dysfunction in their family with an obsessive grip.
