Far and Away

After having a falling out with his landlord's daughter, a young man and his landlord's daughter flee Ireland with the hope of purchasing land at the major giveaway in Oklahoma in the year 1893. When they arrive in their new home, they immediately begin looking for work and putting money aside to save. They become successful as barehands boxers in the area, and ride in glory until he is defeated. After that, his bosses take all of the couple's money, and they are forced to fend off malnutrition in the winter while attempting to realize their dream of owning land. Meanwhile, the woman's parents have discovered where she has gone and have traveled to America in order to locate her and return her to her family.
