Willy the whale is back, and this time he is in danger from illegal whalers who sell sushi with whale meat. Jesse, who is now 16 years old, works on an orca-research ship with an old friend, Randolph, and a sarcastic scientist, Drew. Captain John Wesley and his son Max are on the whaler's ship. Max doesn't like his father's job, but he doesn't have the guts to say so. Willy meets up with Jesse along the road.
