Melanie Ballard is a tough-as-nails police chief in 2025. She is sent to Mars with a police snatch squad to apprehend dangerous criminal James Williams. Humans have been on Mars for some time, and they have established mining facilities. The mining operations on Mars have freed the spirits of alien beings, who are gradually taking over the bodies of the workers. As the alien spirits begin to rid their planet of the 'invaders,' capturing the dangerous fugitive takes a back seat.
