It happened when Mothra went into outer space to stop a meteor from hitting Earth. She accidentally took cells from Godzilla and the rest of Biollante's cells that were in our atmosphere. It took all the cells together to go through a black hole and make Space Godzilla. Godzilla, Junior Godzilla, and the new G-Force robot, MOGERA, are all on Earth when Space Godzilla comes to Earth to fight against them.
