It gets hard for Carol and her showgirl friends, Trixie and Polly, when the Great Depression hits and all the Broadway shows shut down, making it hard for them. He's a rich songwriter, and he comes up with the money for a new musical for the girls to star in. When Brad's brother learns about it, he wants to disown him. Carol and her gold-digging friends come up with a plan to keep the show going, hooking a couple of millionaires in the process.
