Maindrian Pace, an insurance investigator, and his gang have double lives as unstoppable auto thieves. Pace steals 48 automobiles for a South American drug lord, all except one of which is a 1973 Ford Mustang. Pace is unaware that his boss has tipped off the authorities following a business conflict as he prepares to rob the fastback, dubbed "Eleanor," in Long Beach.
