In this documentary, we follow Rikio Ishikawa through his life, particularly the years 1946 to1950, when his violent antics bring him into conflict with his own clan, the Kawada, and subsequently with the clan of his protector, Kozaburo Imai. For the next few years, he can rely on Chieko, a young Tokyo courtesan who has taken him in and provided him with refuge. He is exiled to Osaka, where he begins to develop a drug addiction. Throughout it all, he manages to keep his friends and foes on their toes with his unpredictable behavior-and he appears to be invincible.
