Hairspray
Tracy Turnblad, a curvy girl, dreams of appearing on "The Corny Collins Show," a popular local TV dance show, and when her wish comes true, her colorful dances and cheerful attitude meet with surprising popularity. Turnblad becomes an ardent campaigner for desegregation after experiencing firsthand the dreadful state of race relations in 1960s Baltimore.
