Their job is hard because they can't get violent and they can't kill anyone. Rumata, a scientist, tries to stop the local intellectuals from being punished, and he can't help but take a side. As if the question were, "If you were God, what would you do?" Statement from the director All of Aleksei's life, he wanted to make this movie. It was a long way to get there.
