Pete Ivey (Jason Dolley) is the type of kid who gets forgotten in the school hallways–in stark contrast to his raucous best friend, Cleatus Poole (Mitchel Musso), who is proudly following on the family heritage of promoting school pride as the lively Brewster High chicken. But when the costume causes Poole to have an allergic reaction, Poole begs Pete to take his place at the center of the court. This anonymity allows Pete to find his inner star. Poole is getting all the attention from fans, who think he's the person behind the mask. Pete's efforts to get Angela (Josie Loren) to notice him are complicated by the fact that she's also infatuated with the mysterious man in the chicken suit. This makes it hard for him to get her attention. Pete has to decide if he's willing to risk being rejected in order to show the world who he is and what he is.
