Joe Gavilan (Harrison Ford) and K.C. Calden (Josh Hartnett), his new partner, are detectives on the job in Tinseltown. Gavilan works as a real estate broker on the side, and Calden is an aspiring actor who works as a yoga teacher. Neither of them really wants to be a cop. When the two are given a big case, they have to decide if they want to solve the case or do what feels right to them.
