He has been protecting Asgard for millennia, and Odin is no exception. Every winter, however, the All-Father is required to take a week off to recover his vigor. Trolls and other troll-like creatures attempt to seize control of Asgard throughout this time; however they are always thwarted by Thor, Odin's son, despite the loss of many heroic Asgardian soldiers. Thor's ex-lover Amora, now a supervillain known as the Enchantress, has helped Loki, the god of mischief, kidnap Dr. Bruce Banner and bring him to Asgard. Loki enrages Banner, and he transforms into the Hulk as a result. To give Loki complete control over the Hulk, The Enchantress uses a spell on him to separate Banner from his monster alter-ego.
