After civil rights in 1971 San Francisco seemed like the perfect place for a black Korean War veteran and his family to realize their dream of being financially independent and for him to be his own "boss." Charlie Walker would soon learn how naive he was. He wouldn't take "No" for an answer in a city full of fakes and doubters. Before a terrible disaster, a black man had never been able to walk through a door that had never been open before. This is the story of what happened when he walked right through that door.
