As a lethal virus devastations the globe, Dr. Martin Lowery starts a mission to get to test site ATU327A, a study hub deep in the Arboreal Forest. The tough journey, led by park precursor Alma, is set back by a nighttime strike that leaves the two bruised and shoeless. When they run into Zach, a guy living off the grid, they gratefully accept his assistance. Zach's intents aren't specifically what they seem, however, and a course out of the woodland and into safety and security swiftly discolors as the line in between misconception as well as scientific research obscures.
