Ellie Andrews, who has just married society aviator King Westley, is whisked away to her father's yacht and out of King's clutches. Ellie abandons the ship and eventually finds herself on a bus returning to her husband. She must reluctantly accept the assistance of out-of-work reporter Peter Warne. Actually, Warne doesn't give her much of a choice—either she stays with him until he gets her back to her husband, or he reports Ellie to her father.
