Morioh, 1999—a generally tranquil and calm town has become a hotspot of odd behavior in recent years. Joutarou Kuujou, a marine biologist by profession, travels to the enigmatic village in search of Jousuke Higashikata. While the two initially appear to be strangers, Jousuke is actually the illegitimate son of Joutarou's grandpa, Joseph Joestar. When they meet, Joutarou discovers that he may share more than simply a biological link with Jousuke. The squad, which includes the mild-mannered Kouichi Hirose and the rowdy Okuyasu Nijimura, is dedicated to researching recent disappearances and other mysterious incidents in Morioh. With the assistance of Stands, the four men will face peril on every street corner as they attempt to uncover the town's secrets before another tragedy occurs.
