After the events of Justice League: War, Ocean Master and Black Manta have waged war on the surface in vengeance for Darkseid's invasion of the planet's surface. Queen Atlanna hunts out her second son, Ocean Master's half-brother Arthur Curry, a half-human with aquatic abilities who is unaware of his Atlantean background, in order to restore equilibrium. Curry takes efforts to embrace his destiny by joining the Justice League, and together with his new colleagues, he fights to prevent the destruction of the planet.
