Kaiji Ito moves to Japan after finishing from secondary school. Not able to find a task and also distressed with society at large, Kaiji spends his days betting, ruining vehicles, and alcohol consumption alcohol. Two years later and his life is no better. A financial obligation enthusiast called Endo gets here to collect money owed. The debt enthusiast offers 2 options to Kaiji: spend one decade paying off his car loan or board a gaming watercraft for one night to repay his financial debt & potentially make a boat load of money.
