Kanthaswamy
A CBI Income Tax officer disguised as an anthropomorphic chicken, Kanthasamy (played by Vikram), and his pals, who satisfy the wishes of the needy who write letters to a local Lord Muruga temple, are the film's protagonists. Ponnusamy (played by Ashish Vidyarthi), a wealthy and crooked entrepreneur, owns a hoard of black money during a CBI income tax raid. Ponnusamy pretends to be paralyzed to avoid interrogation. Subbulakshmi (Shirya Saran), the daughter of Ponnusamy, goes for Kanthasamy to avenge her father's paralysis by pretending to be in love with him. Knowing Subbulakshmi's true motives, Kanthasamy plays along with the plan. A cat and mouse game ensues between them.
