Love's Abiding Joy
Missie and Willie Lahaye's westward trek continues. With their roots firmly entrenched in the far West as they establish a farm, Missie discovers her passion for teaching while Willie cares for the couple's infant daughter Kathy and expands the family ranch with the assistance of sons Jeff and Matthew. When the frontier train arrives in town, the delight of Missie's father Clark's long-awaited arrival is abruptly overshadowed by the tragic death of young Kathy. As the tragic death of their beloved daughter begins to cause an emotional gap between Missie and Willie, the distraught father unexpectedly accepts an offer from the powerful Samuel Doros to become town sheriff. Missie and Willie urgently seek to resurrect their collapsing family as son Jeff encounters a series of dangers while hopelessly falling for Doros' beautiful daughter Colette.
