It is Ryunosuke Kamiki who plays shogi (Japanese chess). Rei Kiriyama is 17 years old. His first professional game was when he was in middle school. When he was a little boy, his parents and younger sister died in a car accident. He now lives on his own in Tokyo. He meets three sisters who live next to him one day. Akira Kawamoto is one of the three sisters. Her sister Hinata is also one of the sisters. This is the first time he's met someone outside of the shogi world in a long time. People who eat together make Rei Kiriyama feel happy. He grows as a chess player and as a person because of the way he interacts with his neighbors.
