Martha Marcy May Marlene
After spending a number of years as a member of a cult, Martha is finally able to flee and seeks assistance from her sister Lucy, from whom she has been estranged. Martha finds herself at the peaceful home in Connecticut that Lucy shares with her new husband, Ted; yet, the recollections of what she went through in the cult make it difficult for her to find serenity. Martha is unable to rid herself of a terrible sense of dread, particularly in reference to the manipulative leader of the cult, despite the fact that memories continue to plague her.
