Meet the Browns
Brenda, a single mother living in Chicago's inner city, has struggled for years to make ends meet and keep her three children off the streets. But when she is laid off without notice, she begins to lose hope for the first time-that is, until she receives a letter informing her of the death of a father she has never known. Brenda, desperate for any form of assistance, travels to Georgia with her family for the funeral. Nothing, however, could have prepared her for the Browns, her father's raunchy Southern family. Brenda fights to get to know the family she never knew existed in a small-town world full of lazy afternoons and county fairs...and discovers a brand new romance that just could transform her life. Tyler Perry based the narrative on his theatrical play "Meet the Browns." Madea and Uncle Joe will be played by Perry.
