Mommie Dearest
In this biographical picture, dazzling yet lonely actress Joan Crawford takes in two orphans, and at first glance, their unorthodox family appears to be a successful one. However, after Joan's attempts at romantic fulfillment fail and she is sacked from her contract with MGM studios, her cruel and abusive behavior toward her daughter Christina becomes much more obvious than before. Christina moves away from home and auditions for her first acting part, only to discover that her mother's shadow still hangs over her.
