Moondance Alexander
Moondance Alexander is a young woman who has a lot of energy and lives with her weird mother. Until she finds a lost pinto pony named Checkers who has run away from his pen. Moondance returns the horse to its rightful owner, the rough and mysterious Dante Longpre, even though she thinks Checkers is a champion jumper in disguise. She wants to help him reach his full potential. Moondance manages to get Dante to train her and Checkers for the Bow Valley Classic, even though her peers don't like her. She learns that perseverance, loyalty, and uniqueness can get you to the top.
