Following three years after the events of the first film, Vivica A. Fox and Shemar Moore reprise their roles as Vivica and Shemar. While most convicts' claims of innocence are poor at best, Emery Simms has every reason to fight his unlawful incarceration. Meanwhile, Emery's ex-wife (Fox) has married his best buddy, and the two are trying to live a regular life. When Emery is found dead in prison and his brother Donovan (Brian J. White) learns the truth about his brother's death, his quest to unravel the web of lies and deceit that entangled Emery could prove fatal.
