In a devastating accident during a 4th of July party, Becca, Adam, and their 5-year-old daughter Acie become a perfect family. Becky, grieving, decides to leave the family property and its memories. She leaves Acie with her grandfather Ben and goes to see June, a school buddy. June tries to divert Becky from her family life. Becky starts drinking and making other self-destructive decisions because she is angry with God and has lost faith. After Becky's arrest, Ben threatens to keep Acie until Becky gets her act together. Rebecca's faith is restored after a fortuitous encounter with a traveler in a bus stop.
