Indy Zimmerman's life is not perfect by any means. With a stepmother who seems to make it her mission to make Indy's life miserable, stepsisters who don't want anything to do with her, and a boy who ruined her life suddenly wanting to be a part of it, life is already more than hard. Things couldn't be worse if you added high school, relationships, and tragedy to the mix. When Bryant Bailey, the most popular boy at school, kills Indy's cat, she doesn't want to have anything to do with him. However, he seems determined to be in her life, and after all of her attempts to get rid of him fail, she decides to give him a chance.
