Jerry Day and his stunning wife Toni are arguing about their lifestyle choices. Jerry is a young freewheeling traveller, and Toni is a beautiful woman. Toni wants nothing more than to have a family and a steady existence, but Jerry is unable to take responsibility for anything. Then, the Days'rediscover' Jerry's young daughter Pennie, who had been living with the wealthy family of his late wife's relatives. Pennie had been staying there since Jerry's wife had passed away. It would appear that Jerry's relationship with Pennie is exactly what he needs to put an end to his con artist ways and live an honest life. Jerry is susceptible to the corrupting influence of jewelry thief Felix Evans, despite the fact that he has recently started a family of his own. When Jerry is persuaded to take a job by Evans, the future of his newly formed family life is jeopardized as a result.
