OLD FASHIONED is a romantic comedy-drama about Clay Walsh, a former frat boy who decides to give up his life of excess and instead opens an antique shop in a tiny Midwestern university town. Where he lives, he has become well-known for his lofty yet out-of-date beliefs about love and romance. Upon moving into the neighborhood and renting the apartment above his shop, Amber Hewson discovers that she is surprisingly drawn to his noble ideas, which are new and intriguing to her. Amber Hewson is a free-spirited young woman with a restless soul who has drifted into the area and rents the apartment above his shop. And Clay, no matter how hard he tries to fight it and deny it, he can't help but be drawn to her unbridled enthusiasm for life and her passionate acceptance of it. After all is said and done, Clay must come out from behind his relationship theories, and Amber must overcome her own fears and deep traumas as they, together, try the seemingly impossible: a "old-fashioned" courting in contemporary America.
