Pacific Rim
When huge monsters called Kaiju started coming up from the sea in large numbers, a war broke out that would last for years and kill millions of people. To fight the huge Kaiju, a special type of weapon was made: huge robots called Jaegers that are controlled by two pilots whose minds are locked together in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are almost helpless against the Kaiju's relentless attacks. On the verge of losing, the forces protecting humanity have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes: a washed-up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi), who are teamed up to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they are the last chance for people to stop the coming end of the world.
