In 1953, Spain was ruled by Francisco Franco. Kilian, a young guy from Huesca's mountains, travels to the island of Fernando Poo, a province of Spanish Guinea in Africa, with his brother to work on his father's cocoa plantation. Then, he begins a twenty-year journey toward maturity and knowledge, but he also has to deal with the grief and loss that come with it.
