Along with her three domesticated weasels, Pil, a young vagrant, lives on the streets of the medieval city of Roc-en-Brume. She subsists on food taken from the evil Regent Tristain's castle. One day, Pil dresses as a princess in order to get away from his guardians. As a result, she sets out on a crazy, delirious trip with Rigolin, a young insane jester, and Crobar, a large awkward guard who believes she is a noble. Roland, the legitimate heir to the throne who is under a spell's curse, will need to be saved by Pil. This journey will upend the entire kingdom and show Pil that there is nobility within each and every one of us.
