Platoon Leader
In a Vietnamese trench camp, West Point grad lieutenant Jeff Knight leads sergeant Michael McNamara's tour veterans platoon. The handbook doesn't provide for dealing with all realities, so Jeff takes initiative and gets hurt. The men and supervisors now appreciate him. Beyond the Vietcong, the platoon faces the mysterious peasants, which they defend but also fear, since some work with them, others covertly with the Cong, and both are prone to violent retribution.
