Porco Rosso, also called Crimson Pig (Kurenai no Buta) in Japan, is the sixth animated film by Hayao Miyazaki. It came out in 1992. You're introduced to an Italian World War I fighter ace who is currently pursuing "air pirates" in the Adriatic Sea as a bounty hunter for the Italian government. He got a curse that turned his head into that of a pig. He was once called Marco Pagot, but now everyone knows him as "Porco Rosso," which is Italian for "Red Pig."
