Red Riding: In the Year of Our Lord 1974
There is widespread dread, mistrust, and institutionalized police corruption in Yorkshire in 1974. The police investigation into a series of child abductions is surrounded by an increasingly complex labyrinth of lies and deceit, and rookie journalist Eddie Dunford is determined to uncover the truth. Eddie and his colleague, Barry, persuade their editor to allow them to examine possible connections between the disappearance of Clare Kemplay and two similar abductions that occurred within the past decade. Eddie and Barry are lured into a lethal world of secrecy, intimidation, shocking disclosures, and police violence when a mutilated body is discovered on a building site owned by a local real estate mogul.
